Alex Fish
(Former Camper)

Hey everyone!  My name is Alex Fish, but in the CK-NJ world I was always just known as Fish.  I went to camp from 2001-2003.  Boy do I have memories from the old Centenary campus. There was nothing I looked forward to more than going to camp each year, and after ’03, I was sad to not come to camp again. However, the memories still last and friends were made that will last a lifetime.  Anyways, I have finally graduated from high school and am now a freshman at Boston University majoring in Hotel Administration.  So... if anyone needs a hotel in five years for a nominal fee, you know who to call.  I am a brother of Lambda Chi Alpha, and even on the curling club!  The way I look at school is that it is like camp, just really cold and a bit harder work, and sadly, no Frito pie or “booty” shout outs to Stu.  Overall, camp was absolutely amazing, and I would just like to thank Jay, Sasha, Jeremy, Stu, and of course Tom for giving me the three greatest summers of my life.
If anyone would like to email me, I can be contacted easily at
afish@bu.edu
   Hope all Is well,
   Fish

Haley Schulman
(former Camper!)

Hey everybody, I'm Haley!  I was a camper at CK-NJ for 5 summers, from 2002 to 2006.  I still have at least one camp shirt from each of the years I was there, and from some years I have 2 or 3.  I'm really into Theatre and I love to sing all the time (I suppose some things never change...).  I'm also really active in USY (thats a Jewish youth group).  Ultimate Frisbee is still my favorite sport, even though I don't get to play it that much anymore since I'm not at camp.  I love and miss all my camp friends from over the years and I try to keep in touch although I'm not always so great at that.  My screen name is x3campge3k4lyf... once you get past the confusion of all the numbers, you might see where my inspiration for that one came from =).

Hey folks,
It’s been a few years now since I left Campus Kids after finishing a streak of 11 years, as a camper, then staff assistant, and finally counselor.  Since then I’ve had some incredible opportunities to work, study, and travel in Taiwan and throughout mainland China…I even saw a factory that produced the old Power Ranger action figures.  My time abroad was truly amazing and I loved soaking in all the different experiences…Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and I returned to school last fall.  Since then, I’ve been attending Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and am now beginning my last year as an engineering student.  While the scenery is a vast change from the sunny Silicon Valley, there is still plenty of soft grass to layout for a score in Ultimate.  Speaking of which, it’s time to head off to practice…
Best wishes to everyone at CK and thank you for all the great memories.
      Sincerely,
      Drew

Robert Emmer
(Former Camper)
Robert "Psycho" (as he was known in his younger days) Emmer is 22 years old and a recent graduate from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.  He has a degree in animation and is currently looking for work.  He spent six wonderful summers at the camp from 1994 through 1999 and treasures every day he spent there . The years that he spent at Campus Kids formed the basis of the person he is today and so thanks the camp and the wonderful people that made up the camp, from Tom and Stu, Jeremy and Robbie and John, to his friends like Alek and Steve.

Ian Lovejoy
(Former Staff Member)

It’s amazing how many stories I tell that start with “once, at this camp I worked at...” even after two years.  That’s how many great memories I have of Campus Kids-NJ.  I even found my experiences coming up at job interviews and having prospective employers seem more interested in CK than my education!  Such is the way with camp and how it impacts your life in unexpected ways.

I’ve tried to keep in touch with people over the years, and with many people getting on Facebook and Myspace that task has become easier, but I’m afraid I’m still falling woefully short of the kind of contact I would like.  So I was very excited when Jeremy announced he was launching this alumni page.  Life has taken me far from Hackettstown New Jersey.  I currently live in Santa Monica, just a stones-throw from the Pacific Ocean and down town Los Angeles.  Admittedly this location is probably wasted on me: I am not a city person.  But still I like it here very much, though blue juice is in short supply and the announcement trees are more tropical.  I am proud to have graduated from Virginia Tech with my master’s degree in May of 2006 and taught at a neighboring university, Radford, for a year before making the move west four months ago.  I am currently a research analyst at a litigation support firm where I help set up focus groups on which attorneys can practice their cases before going to trial.

I hope this message finds everyone well, and I look forward to reading what all of you are up to!

Dan Enden
(Former Camper)

I'm Dan Enden. I play electric bass (5-string, 4-string, fretless), guitar (electric, acoustic), and various percussion.  I'm highly into film and have a DVD collection of 300+.  I chew a pack of gum a day.  My AIM screename is Sgt Fluffhead. I'm not a sergeant, nor am I made of fluff; it's a Phish song.

Editors Note:  Dan's former band, Cow Noodles played at the first ever Campus Kids - NJ CampStock and videos can be seen here.

Koon Nguy
(Former Staff Member)

The name's Koon and I am currently a photographer living in Brooklyn, NY. When not shooting, you can find me watching movies, drawing, playing guitar, listening to music, drinking jasmine tea, reading a book, hanging out with friends, or just generally trying to look cool in front of the ladies.  I have a soft spot for jeans and v-necks, suits (I use to do tailoring), dogs, bikes, and shiny objects.
I worked at CK for three summers once as a Junior Boy's Counselor, and the
other two were spent being the Fine Arts Coordinator where I brought little gems like digital photography, graffiti, and silk screening to the CK program. Three of the best summers I've had yet.  I've met the greatest people from all over the world that I still talk to on a regular basis, and gained some excellent experiences, and of course ton of laughs.
Well, it's getting late and I have to wake up far earlier than i ever did at camp, which if you knew me... is the biggest challenge I have.
