Thunder, Lightning!

Today Campus Kids experienced the first thunder storm of the summer! The clouds did not disappoint at all. There was a lot of thunder and...

Lightning! Taking shelter from the real lightning outside, some campers played an intense game called "lightning." The teams line up facing each other and hold hands.

Both teams shut their eyes as per the rules and put their game faces on.

The first player in each line keeps their eyes open and watches for the toss. If the toss is heads, then they squeeze their partners hand. This starts a chain all the way down to the end where the last team mate reaches down to grab the point! Neither team was willing to except defeat.

Both teams proved they had better than lightning fast reflexes, keeping the score close until the very end!

The summer rain might have kept everyone inside for a little while, but it didn't stop us from having a great time!
