This behind the scenes photo journal is part one in a two part series of behind the scenes work at Campus Kids-NJ. In this photo journal, the weekly escapades of Sara, program operations manager, are explored.
My journey started with a car and a shopping list. The goal was simple; to get necessary items at various stores in order to keep our camp running.
While Sara went to get gas, I stopped by the Blairstown post office to mail an outgoing package.
Our first stop was Wal-Mart. The shopping list was big for this stop, so we divided up items on the shopping list during the car ride over.
Soon there after, we arrived in the historic town of Newton, NJ.
After a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts to grab a Strawberry Coolatta, my shopping spree began!
Things on my list included...
A calculator...
A stapler...
Balls of the tennis and golf variety...
  and powdered Gatorade!
I then met Sara at the checkout counter for further instruction.
Our next stops were shorter because we only needed to get a couple of items from each store.
We stopped at Models, where I begged Sara to get a Mets jersey for me. Sadly, that didn't  happen.
I apparently thought it was opposite day. I might have been wrong on that one.
Our next stop brought us to A.C Moore, where some craft supplies were bought.
Lastly, we bought birthday cakes and calling cards at the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (aka the A&P).
Once we got back to camp, the items we bought were sorted and distributed so they could be put to proper use.
Watch out for Part 2 of the series! (coming next week)
