Many people wonder how campers get from one activity to the next. Do they just walk there without counselor supervision? Are they just supposed to find their randomly positioned counselors located throughout the campus? NO! Here at Campus Kids-New Jersey, we have an organized system to make sure campers get from one location to the next without any problem.
Our changeover location is located in the shady confines between Mason and Freeman Halls on the edge of the bowl, the center of campus.
Between Mason and Freeman Halls, there are six strategically located trees. These trees are where campers look for the counselors who are leading their next activity.
As you can see, this system makes it easy for campers to find their counselors.
Before changeover, all was quiet in the bowl. However, as 2:50 came by, a mass exodus occurred towards the changeover site.
During changeover, a variety of things happen. Campers can refresh themselves by getting ice cold water from the water coolers...
They can talk to their friends about their awesome experiences from their last activity period...
Or they can take a quick five minute power nap.
What happens if a camper cannot participate in an activity and wants to switch? Well, a colorful umbrella with head counselors and a staff assistant signifies where a camper can go to change their activity.
Counselors then called out their activities for the next period...
And as soon as it began, changeover ended. This quick, easy, and painless process is part of what makes Campus Kids-New Jersey run so smoothly everyday!
