Interpra-Galactive

The theater was dark, the curtains open, and the screen down. Suddenly credits began rolling upward, depicting an epic space battle. The only way to celebrate the Great Intergalactic Planetary War was through the spirit of dance!  The Interpra-Galactive Dance Show showcased the talent of campers and staff members alike as they expressed emotions and stories through dance (a.k.a interpretive dance!).
First up, many campers conveyed emotions and stories to all sorts of music from rap to pop. Some even used spoken poetry to help convey their message.

The freshmen girls danced to "Tik Tok" by Ke$ha while...
the junior girls created their own music(through various percussion instruments and some amazing tap dancing) and interpreted a rain scene complete with umbrellas, rain boots, and rain jackets.

Naturally, the staff had to take part in all of the fun and counselor Jake performed in front of a packed theater.
Up next were the Staff Assistants with a performance of the popular viral song, "Friday".

Later, the leadership team performed their dance to a poem written by Rose which was accompanied by Katie on the bongos.
Next was a bubble performance by counselors and campers alike!
*Special thanks to Noah for working behind the scenes and cleaning up the excess bubbles!*
The duper boys performed a dance expressing how they would feel when some of their campers would have to leave.
Finally, Remy closed the show with a performance to one of Usher's newest hits.
As the final act concluded, the audience immediately rose to their feet and gave all of the performers a standing ovation!
This amazing new show would not have been possible without your lovely and talented  hosts/dance counselors Erica, Rachel, Yianella, Pascale, Teeny and Kimmie! Great job to all!
