Rock of July!

Question:
What do the American flag, a smoke machine, and a kissing booth have in common?
Answer:
They were all present at ROCK OF JULY then you were right!

Campus Kids celebrated the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, more commonly referred to as the 4th of July, with its annual Rock of July celebration!

To start the night off, Sean, the Performing Arts Coordinator gave a brief (and I mean brief!) history of the day followed by the National Anthem. As it concluded, the Fourth of July festivities began!
All at CK donned their best red, white and blue attire to get into the patriotic mood!
For those who did not feel they were patriotic enough, there were plenty of booths that could get you into the Independence Day spirit! Campers could get their faces painted, a brand new temporary tattoo, a hair wrap or even create their own patriotic accessory at the variety of booths.

However, this was not all! Booths had a variety of activities in store for the campers! The Marriage booth was a huge success as campers could marry their friends and receive rings!
Those desiring a little friendly competition participated in the "Can Knock Down"...
the "Dizzy Bat/Gummy Worm" relay...
"Pool Noodle Jousting"...

and the "Doughnut on a String" challenge.
The always popular "Kissing Booth" was in full swing...
as well as more traditional camp activities like Frisbee, gaga...
and lawn games!
If campers needed a rest from all of the action, they could relax at the Massage Booth or play some cards and jacks with the Staff Assistants!
In addition to the planned activities, Rock of July is known for the amazing musical performances by both campers and staff alike!
The audience rocked out in the bowl while the performers jammed out on stage!
All in all, it was a Rock'in night!
